I agree with Patti. I love the straightforward, simple yet delicate wordplay in this.

Dear sir, a haiku is much more than just three lines. It has a syllable restricted structure in those three lines too, under 17 in the three lines. :) Whereas there are some form of haiku like the Kanshicho that allow freedom in syllables, at Haiku Heights, I request that you keep it below 17. Thank you.

I love that the bird doesn't smash the flowers. He goes about his business so fast, but you are correct, he is careful.
